Tanner Gillette

PTA

Tanner is one of our many talented therapists who works with an array of orthopedic conditions and has a special interest in athlete development, as well as the Buffalo clinic manager.

While attending BHSU, Tanner was a member of the BHSU Track and Field team, earning many regional medals in indoor and outdoor events. He was able to learn from experienced athletic trainers and strength coaches throughout his academic and athletic career, preparing him to assist young athletes with injury prevention and skill development.

Tanner enjoys fly fishing, skiing, and exploring the Big Horns with his wife, Cheyenne, and their new puppy, Gertie.

Education: Tanner is a Wyoming native, being born in Sheridan, WY and growing up in Gillette, WY.  He completed his undergraduate degree from Black Hills State University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Coaching and then attended Spokane Falls Community College, where he earned his Associates degrees for Physical Therapist Assistant. He also has earned his Work Well Certification.

Continuing Education: Naiomt Lumbo-Pelvic Spine Level 1; Work Well Certification courses

Experience: In his physical therapy career, Tanner has found a passion for post-operative and conservative orthopedic conditions, wound care, and skilled athlete development. He is currently pursuing further education in post-operative foot and ankle rehabilitation.

Rebecca Valleroy

PT, DPT, ATC

After graduating from the University of Mary with her Doctor of Physical Therapy, she made her way to Douglas, WY in 2021. She is a North Dakota native but you will see her in our Wheatland and Douglas offices. Becca likes treating low back pain for critical thinking. If she had to choose however, her favorite diagnoses to treat would be total knee and hip replacements as well as balance therapy.Becca continues to further her education and is currently certified in: Functional Dry Needling Level 1, LSVT Big for neurological conditions, Functional Movement Screen (FMS), and Skin and Wound Management working toward her Wound Care Certification. In her free time, Becca enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and seeking out new adventures.

Emily Cook

MPT

Emily is the Glendo Lake Trail Race Director, a Big Horn 100-mile trail finisher, 4x Ironman finisher, and a Boston Marathon qualifier. She was born and raised in Kansas and moved to Douglas, WY in 2004 where she resides with her husband Jon and her two teenage daughters.

Jory Turk

PTA

Jory grew up in Wyoming, after high school he attended the University of South Dakota earning a bachelor's degree in applied science then graduated from Colby College in1995 with a degree in applied science Physical Therapy Assistant. He has had many great experiences in health care including Sports Medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, neuro rehab, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries ,wound care and sports performance coaching.

Education: University of South Dakota 1994 Applied Science: Therapeutic Recreation, 1995; Colby College Applied Science Physical Therapy Assistant.

Melissa Balbirer

PT, DPT

Melissa grew up in South Florida and graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology in 2017.  Melissa continued her education at the University of Florida earning her doctorate degree as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2020.  After graduation, Melissa began a two year journey as a traveling physical therapist spending time in Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, Kentucky, and Alaska before settling down in Wyoming. She has worked in a variety of settings working with people of all ages and conditions focusing on neck and back pain, shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle pain, as well as post-surgical cases.  Melissa also has experience working with neurological cases such as post-stroke, MS, and Parkinson's disease. During Melissa's free-time, she enjoys hiking, relaxing in her hammock, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Kyle Graves

PT, DPT

Kyle grew up in Wyoming and graduated from CCHS in 2006. Since then he spent time as a medic in the USAF while traveling overseas and stateside before returning and beginning his undergraduate degree at the University of Wyoming, in 2010, in Laramie. Kyle then went on to attain his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2017 and returned home to Gillette. Kyle enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs, as well as a variety of outdoor activities including fishing, golfing, paddle boarding, and camping. Kyle has a broad knowledge of orthopedic conditions encompassing the whole body, and special experience including TMJ disorders, advanced wound care, and vertigo/dizziness.

Jamie Brand

PTA

 Jamie is a Wyoming Native born and raised in a small town in the north east corner of the state. She came to Casper College where she earned an Associate of Fine Arts. She fell in love with Casper and decided after Finishing PTA School She wanted to return to Casper. After a few years she met her husband and loves going on adventures with their dogs! Jamie has worked in many settings including; Acute care rehab, post surgical therapy, inpatient, outpatient, as well as Skilled nursing. She enjoys having a variety of different patients to educate and share her skills with.

Henry Friesen

PTA

 

Henry grew up in Montezuma Kansas, a small town of a thousand. He earned his
bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Wichita State University, where he then decided to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. He graduated from Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne WY with a Physical Therapist Assistant degree. After beginning his career and working two years in Texas, Henry moved to Montana, where he spent about a year working primarily with post-op orthopedic patients. He then decided to move to Casper to begin a new chapter of life.

Henry has experience seeing a wide variety of diagnoses, from chronic pain to orthopedic rehab, has previous experience as a personal trainer, and is certified in Blood Flow Restriction training.


When not at work, Henry enjoys exploring the outdoors with his pup, hiking, mountain biking, and spending time with friends and family.
